We interviewed Martin to find out what makes him tick:
What would you have chosen as your dream job?
I do my dream job. I work with Olympic athletes on a daily basis and get to train and fix amazing people. My Company is truly my passion.
What charities and causes do you most connect with?
I have most recently been organizing an event for the multiple sclerosis centre based in Bedfordshire, this is close to my heart after losing a family member due to the disease. We will be riding from London – Paris over 3 days and making a video blog on the way. I aim to build the awareness of the local centre and the good that it does within our community.
What things do you do to stay fit and healthy?
I love to cycle and have gotten more and more involved in personal challenges in cycling after being injured in my first love which would be rowing. Apart from all of that i tend to spend a lot of the time walking the dog and working out with friends. There is nothing better than being outside and enjoying whats on your doorstep, if in doubt find a hill and climb it, you might see something differently when you get to the top!
Where would you most like to visit on your travels or on an expedition?
It would be amazing to go and trek to macchu picchu and also have plans to cycle the Pyrenees.
As a time traveller where would you pick, what era and to see who?
I would go back to prehistoric times when dinosaurs roamed, id love to meet the first man/women of that time and see them discovering things for the first ever time. (I also do a mean impression of a velociraptor)
Who inspires you and why?
My mum and dad are my inspiration, since I was 9 mum has always had to deal with illness but has always triumphed. And my dad has always been there to support her and me. Without them I would not be who I am today and would not have succeeded in the things I have, they constantly give me inspiration and encouragement and for that I am forever grateful.
