Assistant Product Technologist - Full Time - London

At BAM we are on a mission to become every active person’s favourite sustainable clothing brand. 
 
The brand was started 12 years ago by our founder David Gordon, who has spent his life involved in the worlds of sport and expedition. He wanted to create a brand with values of putting people and planet at its core. He wanted to demonstrate to bigger brands that you can succeed by doing things ‘the right way’ and have a little fun while you’re doing it.
 
When David discovered bamboo he knew he was onto something special. The fabric is supremely soft, 3 times more absorbent than cotton and made from the world’s most sustainable crop.
 
After a number of years of steady and strong growth we are building our teams in a bid to become an even more significant brand.  And we are looking for an Assistant Product Technologist to support us in the evolution of our ranges.
 
About the role – what you’ll be responsible for
 
• Assisting with creating tech packs.
• Attending fit sessions – taking notes and writing up and sending fit comments.
• Organising samples and sample management.
• Organising fit sessions.
• Managing prod dev critical path.
• Packaging help ad hoc.
• Dealing with any day to day enquiries from suppliers.
• Managing wearer trials.
• Working closely with the design assistant to approve bulk fabrics.
• Supporting The Garment Tech with market research.
 
About you
 
• You have one or two year’s experience in a similar role 
• You have a relevant degree.
• You have strong Excel skills.
• You have skills in Photoshop/ Illustrator or are willing to learn.
• You love to be organised.  
• You have a track record of taking the initiative and a positive can do attitude.
• You are a fast learner and willing to throw yourself into a challenge.
• You love being part of a team while being very self-motivated.
• You are eternally curious about fabric and garments and how to make them better.
• We would love you to care about sustainability what can be done to improve it.
• Being actively involved in a sport would be a huge advantage.
 
Salary Dependent on experience.
Willing to travel.
Clean Driving UK Licence.
Holiday: 20 days plus Bank Holidays.
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK or hold a valid work permit.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week – 0900 to 1700, half an hour for lunch. 
Staff Discount.
Location: BAM office in Richmond, London,  occasional attendance at Plymouth office and elsewhere as required by the business.

Senior Digital Designer - Full Time - Plymouth

About the role – what you’ll be responsible for
 
• Bringing the brand to life through the website. Working closely with the Creative and Digital teams to create clear style guidelines ensuring the site is beautiful, on brand, easy to shop and constantly inspiring our customer. 
• Bringing the brand to life through email marketing working closely with the Digital team.
• Planning, art directing and delivering inspiring studio shoots that provide all the assets needed within the constraints of the budget.
• Play a key role at every stage of the design process, from initial concept to execution.
• Find creative solutions to all digital challenges as we grow as a brand.
• Constantly sharing new ideas with the Creative team so that we all evolve together.
 
About you
 
• You’re a visual storyteller inspiring and engaging through image, layout and sumptuous typography.
• You have a knockout portfolio which shows us your potential.
• You are curious about the world creatively and are constantly looking for new inspiration.
• You love working collaboratively, as well as on your own.
• You have excellent Adobe skills to enable you to bring your ideas to life.
• You are energetic and passionate about what you do.
• You are excited by brands that tell stories and love the idea of doing that yourself.
• We would love you to have an understanding or at least a willingness to learn HTML and CSS.
• We would love you to have experience of art direction and shoot management.
• We would love you to have a knowledge of WordPress, responsive web design and wire framing.
• We would love you to be inspired by sport, adventure or sustainability or even all 3.
• You have two or more years’ experience in a similar role. 
• You have a relevant degree.

About the role – what you’ll be responsible for
 
• Bringing the brand to life through storytelling and great content creation through all digital channels.
• Taking the lead on creating and delivering a social media and influencer strategy that drives conversation and conversion. 
• Develop an inspiring team of BAMbassadors who are strong brand advocates creating inspiring content and supporting the growth of our tribe.
• Direct and support the Social Media Exec by inspiring, nurturing and being clear with objectives to grow an engaged audience.
• Develop partnerships and collaborations with brands and events that help us to connect and engage with our customers through shared values.
• Take the lead in developing and executing a digital PR strategy, in collaboration with our offline PR resource, that will connect with potential fans, create great content and increase links.
 
 
About you
 
• You are a great storyteller, able to inspire and engage through language and imagery.
• You have a track record of creating and delivering strategies that build and engage a community of brand advocates.
• You have a track record of creating and delivering a digital PR strategy that has driven strong coverage, increasing a brands visibility.
• You have a track record of developing partnerships and collaborations that have supported brand growth.
• You are proactive, resourceful, curious and love thinking outside of the box.
• You have a collaborative approach, are a great manager and thrive as part of a small ambitious team.
• You are comfortable with analytical tracking and are able to clearly articulate progress and key actions to keep a strategy on track.
• You have two or more years’ experience in a similar role.
