The features: To be waterproof and breathable, this Any Weather Mac Raincoat has a storm flaps at the front and back so the rain runs off. Underneath you have an inner mesh giving this coat an excellent breathability, so you won’t feel clammy even if you’re hiking hills. The waterproof storm placket stops rain getting in through the zip. This design trick means we avoid using a non-recyclable coated zip. The adjustable hood has a drawcord to protect you from sudden downpours. But when the storm passes, an inner strap lets you shrug the coat off so you can easily carry it while it dries. This coat has waterproof zip welt pockets. And finally, we’ve created welded seams with waterproof tape for a watertight finish. This allows us to make this coat in a single mono fabric – the key to recyclability. Years in development, a certified recyclable, waterproof and stylish shower shield.

Our fabric: We needed to create this innovative fabric to ensure it was recyclable.  In a mono fabric, it’s 90-95% Recycled Polyester. It has a Teflon EcoElite™ repellent, a plant-based fabric finish that’s renewably sourced and highly durable. With trademarked AquaveilTM Technology. As We believe in total transparancy, here is exactly what goes into your jacket:

• Outer Shell: 100% Recycled Polyester
• Mesh Lining: 100% Recycled Polyester
• Trims & Zip Tape: 100% Recycled Polyester
• Zip Head: Zinc Allow (we use zinc because it is easily separated during the mechanical recycling process)
• Membrane: 100% Virgin Copolyester (CoPES)

We’ve pushed recycled content as high as science currently allows. While 90-95% is recycled polyester (covering the shell, lining, and trims) the remaining small percentage is the Membrane, WHy Virgin? Because to get 10k waterproof rating in an ultra-thin layer, we currently need the purity of virgin polymer…For now

What is a RET Rating? RET (Resistance to Evaporative Heat Transfer) measures how much resistance a fabric presents to body heat and moisture (sweat) from escaping, the lower the number the better it is.

Care instructions:This jacket features a durable, PFC-free Teflon EcoElite™ coating—a bio-based and renewably sourced finish that protects against the elements without harming marine life. To care for your jacket and save water, spot clean when possible and machine wash only when necessary. When the finish eventually needs a refresh, simply treat it with Nikwax Tech Wash to fully restore its waterproof performance.
